This Indenture made this fifth day of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty two and in the second year of his Majesty’s Reign Between Ann Charnock of

In the Kingdom of Great Britain Spinster / By Job Milner of Charles Town in the Province of South Carolina Merchant her attorney of the one Part and John Thompson and James Hunter by the name of Thompson and Hunter of Charles Town aforesaid Merchants and Partners of the other Part.
Witnesseth that the said Ann Charnock for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings lawful Money of Great Britain in the Hand paid by the said John Thompson and James Hunter to her attorney aforesaid at or before the sealing and Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof she the said Ann Charnock doth hereby acknowledge. Hath granted bargained and sold and by the Presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said John Thompson and James Hunter all those two Town Lotts with the Houses, out House, Store Houses and all other Buildings and Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying and being in Dorchester in the Province aforesaid which said Lotts are distinctly known by the Numbers of Eleven and twelve as in the Record of the Modell of the said Town more fully may appear, butting and bounding to the Southward of the Street leading toward the Bridge To the Westward on the Square, To the Eastwood on the Bay or Front of the said Town, To the Northward of the Lott belonging to Mr. William Cattle together with all Ways Wells Passages, Paths, Waters and Water Courses, Lights, Easements Commodities, Profits, Benefits, Priviledges, Hereditaments Rights and Appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any Wise appertaining, and all the Right, Title, Interest Property, claim and Demands whatsoever of her the said Ann Charnock of in or to the same or any Part thereof To Have and to hold the said several Lotts of Land above mentioned and every Part and Parcel thereof with Appurtenances unto the said John Thompson and James Hunter their Executors, Administrators, and Assigns from the fifth Day of this Instant April for and during and unto the full End and Term of one whole Year from thence next ensuing and fully to be completed and ended yielding and praying therefore at the Expiration of the said Year one Pepper born if the same shall be lawfully demanded to the Intent that by Virtue of these Presents and by Force of the Statute for transferring of all Uses into Possession that the said John Thompson and James Hunter may be in the actual Possession of all and singular the Premisses abovementioned with the Appurtenances and thereby be enabled to accept and take a Grant and Release of the Reversion and Inheritance thereof to them and their Heirs to the only proper Use and Behoos of them the said John Thompson and James Hunter their Heirs and assigns forever. In Witness whereof the Parties first above named have interchangeably sett their Hands and affixed their Seals the Day and Year first above written.
