The Architecture of Drayton Hall

This lesson introduces students to the study of architecture. Focusing on this structure students learn about what features identify a Georgian building and recognize elaborate work on both the interior and exterior. The use of slides in the classroom and a field trip to the site will provide the primary resources for learning about the subject. As a culminating activity students can serve as tour guides at Drayton Hall for an afternoon.
